Rene served 18 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Aerospace Ground Equipment mechanic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her commitment to excellence led her to serve as a technical instructor and later transitioned to the USAF Reserves and Florida Air National Guard. Since moving to Sedalia, Rene has served her community as a volunteer. She is on the board for the Sedalia Senior Center and serves as program director for the local NAACP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rene spoke on the challenges of running a campaign for an elective office.
