Carol Sawyer, 2025-2026 Woman of the Year

Carol and her husband have lived in Pettis County for over 40 years. They have one son, Phillip, daughter-in-law, Sara, and her two grandchildren, Kiley and Trenton.

Carol joined SBW in 2006 and has served on several committees, currently serving on Special Projects, Membership, Business Women’s Week, and co-chairs the Bell Ringing Committee.

After graduating from Windsor High School, she attended State Fair Community College and the American Medical Record Association where she obtained her medical records certification to be an ART and AHIMA in medical coding. She also attended A. D. Banker & Co. Insurance School and was licensed in Life, Health, Property and Casualty.

She was the Director of Medical Records at Windsor Hospital for 10 years, a legal secretary for Cisel & Kopp for 15 years, a licensed CSR for American Family Insurance, a Project Manager/Managed Care Auditor, Manager/Recertification Clerk for Windsor Senior Citizens Housing, Office Manager/AR for Trans Central Suppliers, Inc., and Office Administrator for Summit Truck Group until semi-retiring. She has been seasonally employed at Josten’s for 5 years.

Carol has previously served on several Board of Directors, including Windsor Ambulance District, Laurel Oak Cemetery, WHS Master Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc., Monsees Lakes and Covered Bridge HOAs.

Besides SBW, Carol is a member of Pettis County Pachyderms, Green Ridge Booster Club, and a former member of the Sedalia Shrine Ladies. She attends Cornerstone Baptist Church. She enjoys attending anything that includes her grandchildren, volunteering when needed, traveling, and the occasional “Sun in My Eyes” time with friends.
