The April Dinner Meeting of the Sedalia Business Women was called to order by Robin Balke, president, at 6:32 p.m. at the Shrine Club Multi-Purpose building. Debbie Ulmer gave the invocation. Robin led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the Club Collect. Missy Marksberry introduced the guests for the evening. The program for the evening was under the direction of the Special Projects Committee.
The guest speaker for the evening was Tom Oldham of Retrieving Freedom and dog Bubba. He spoke about Retrieving Freedom and the accomplishments of lives that have been change with the training and placement of service dogs to Veterans with disabilities and children with Autism.
Presentation of proceeds of Chicken Dinner were made to recipients Community Santa; Meals on Wheels; Mother Goose – Ernie Dow Golf Tournament; Retrieving Freedom; Sedalia Animal Shelter; and Sedalia Senior Center.
